Abstract

[eng] In this paper, we present some aspects of the French productive system, taking account of groups of financially linked firms which are agents of this system.. The market concentration measures are modified, as well as other market structure variables. More, the diversified activity of these groups induces new intersectoral connexions. An econometric analysis shows that the market structure variables concerning our industry are not well related to the performance obtained in this industry if it's activity is mostly the fact of groups of firms, though their explanatory power remains good in industries dominated by independant firms.. The analysis of multisectoral activity of groups allow used to obtain a sectoral typology based upon the concepts of strategic dependance and diversification of industries.. Finally, we study the discrepancy between stade ownership and control, realized by the group as a consequence of their financial structure.
