Abstract

[eng] Abstract This article accentuates the possibility of an analytical approach both topographical and socio-economic to urban space at the end of the Middle Ages. After briefly describing the rouennais setting in which the research took place and the methods used for topographical reconstruction, it produces the results of preliminary exploitations of theses sources, focused on two themes : - Properties are studied with two points of view : descriptions of tenements and estimation of surfaces and frontage widths. - The actors of urban life, at least those revealed by the documentation, for whom are examined occupations and geographic mobility during one decade of the fifteenth century.
