Abstract

[eng] Abstract. So as to emphasize Condorceťs ideological « modernity », we generally evoke his struggle for « Human Rights ». But we don't often mention that he also fought for having the right of using prevervatives, artificial human insemination as well as the right to the biological improvement of mankind. Condor cet was a « neo-malthusian », before Malthus himself who in fact was not one in this way. We can even consider him as one of the forerunners of an « improvement » policy of mankind physical, intellectual and moral faculties, based on the « observation of different species of domestic animals », as he wrote it himself.
