Abstract

[eng] Abstract Looking for examples of the theme of poverty, J.D. analyses the fundamental prayers, liturgy for Sunday - « prône » and lectionary -, Christmas carols and a few widespread devotions and concludes that at the end of the XVIth. century, the Church shows the faithfull two different paths : for the wealthy and comfortably well of, the path of self- examination, individual penance, and goodworks, and for the poor, i.e. those who has to earn their living, the path of faith, trust and hope in which the preoccupation with individual salvation is hardly present.
