Perspectives démographiques et marché du travail : une nouvelle donne

Abstract

[fre] Comme après chaque recensement de la population, le recensement de 1999 a conduit l'Insee à actualiser ses perspectives démographiques. Les nouvelles projections de population totale ont fait l'objet d'une première diffusion en mars 2001 (Brutel, 2001), suivies, en mars 2002, des premiers résultats des nouvelles projections de population active (Nauze-Fichet et Lerais, 2002). Ce dossier d'Économie et Statistique revient sur ces deux exercices prospectifs. Deux articles présentent d'abord plus en détail leurs hypothèses et leurs résultats. Trois autres articles portent sur les enjeux d'un des aspects les plus marquants de ces projections : le retournement de tendance de la population d'âge actif. Ils s'intéressent à l'un es facteurs qui seraient susceptibles de freiner ce mouvement - la remontée des taux d'activité aux âges élevés - et aux conséquences de cette nouvelle donne démographique pour le fonctionnement du marché du travail.
