Abstract

[fre] Après les précédents de 1986 et de 1992, l'Insee a renouvelé en 1997, pour la troisième fois, l'enquête Jeunes, en partenariat avec de nombreuses administrations et organismes de recherche. Ce dossier sur les jeunes est le troisième en cinq ans. L'intérêt permanent pour cette population tient sans doute, en grande partie, à la difficulté de trouver des catégories suffisamment robustes et stables pour décrire une période de la vie caractérisée par une forte mobilité : affective, familiale, et professionnelle. D'où la nécessité d'adapter en permanence les instruments d'observation et de mesure à une réalité difficile à saisir.
