Abstract

[eng] Family, social environment and risk of unemployment - In four years, the number of families in which two or several persons were unemployed at the same time rose from 60,000 to 120,000. The worsening of the situation has encouraged a withdrawal into the family unit; unemployed young people live more frequently with their parents than those who work. Within the family, young people whose mothers do not work are proportionately more frequently unemployed. Inversely, young people are very rarely unemployed when both their parents are cadres or in the intermediary professions.
