Évolution des salaires : normes collectives et facteurs individuels

Abstract

[fre] L'évolution individuelle des salaires est influencée par des facteurs collectifs comme les taux uniformes résultant des négociations salariales ou l'existence de l'avancement à l'ancienneté. Mais des facteurs individuels jouent aussi, promotions au choix, événements divers de la vie professionnelle de chacun. L'article propose un indicateur original pour séparer ces deux ensembles de facteurs. Les salariés sont répartis en groupes homogènes quant à l'âge, au sexe et à la catégorie socioprofessionnelle. Dans chaque groupe l'évolution du salaire médian sert de référence par rapport à laquelle sont mesurées les dispersions individuelles. If apparaît que celles- ci sont effectivement moins fortes que si n'intervenaient que des facteurs individuels. Par ailleurs, les dispersions diminuent avec l'âge. Chez les jeunes, elles sont plus marquées pour les cadres ou les employés que pour les ouvriers, alors que c'est l'inverse après quarante ans. El artículo propone un indicador original para separar ambos conjuntos de factores. Los asalariados están repartidos en grupos homogeneos en cuanto a edad, sexo y categoría social y profesional. En cada grupo, la evolución del salario medio sirve de referencia con relación a la cual las dispersiones individuates se miden. Parece ser que estas son en efecto menos importantes que si solo intervenían factores individuates. Por lo demás, las dispersiones disminuyen con la edad. Entre los jóvenes, estan mis acentuadas respecto a cuadros dirigentes y empleados que entre obreros, mientras que después de cumplir los cuarenta años de edad es la inversa. [eng] Wage Trends : collective norms and individual factors - The trend of individual salaries is influenced by collective factors such as the uniform rates of pay resulting from collective wage bargaining or the existence of advancement based on seniority. However, individual factors also come into play, such as promotions by selection, and various events in the professional life of each individual. This article proposes an original indicator for separating these two sets of factors. Wage-earners are divided into homogeneous groups according to age, sex, and socio-professional category. In each group the trend of the median wage is the reference in relation to which individual disparities are measured. . It emerges that these are in fact smaller than if only individual factors were present. More over, the disparities diminish with age. For younger groups, they are more marked for executives and office workers than for blue-collar workers, while the opposite is true after forty.
