Abstract

[eng] Giving Birth at Home -Thirty years ago, nearly one out of two births took place in the home. Today, the percentage has fallen to four per one thousand. Government birth records provide certain kinds of information regarding a practice which has become rare : the quality of medical treatment, socio- professional differentiation, and the frequency of stillborn infants.
