Abstract

[eng] The Accumulation of fixed capital assets - Through a knowledge of investments and equipment life, the so-called « chronological » method makes it possible to simulate the accumulation of fixed capital assets in different sectors of the national accounts : corporations, credit institutions, insurance, government and private agencies. From 1970 to 1977, capital grew on an average by 5.5 % a year in constant francs. Although investments have recently slowed down, they remain superior to the outflow of capital due to the replacement or the depreciation of equipment; thus, the accumulation of capital rise, although at a more moderate rate. This recent phenomenon comes in the wake of successive waves of accumulation which brought the accumulation rate up to ever higher levels; it reached 3.6% in 1958, 6 %ln 1964, and 6,5 % in 1970.
