Abstract

[fre] Le marché mondial des matières grasses concrètes est alimenté, dans sa presque totalité, par le cocotier, qui fournit l'huile de coco (extraite du coprah), et le palmier à huile qui fournit deux corps gras : l'huile de palme et l'huile de palmistes (extraite des amandes). La côte occidentale d'Afrique exporte de l'huile de palme, et surtout des palmistes ; la Malaisie et l'Indonésie exportent du coprah et surtout de l'huile de palme ; le reste de l'Extrême-Orient, du coprah. . L'Europe occidentale et l'Amérique du Nord se partagent la quasi-totalité des exportations mondiales, l'Amérique du Nord important surtout du coprah et de l'huile de coco, l'Europe, principalement les produits du palmier à huile. . Les marchés des corps gras, particulièrement sensibles à la conjoncture, ont été fortement ébranlés au cours de ces dernières années par les événements internationaux.
