An empirical analysis of economic freedom-GDP growth relationship

Abstract

We analyze the strenght of the relationship between economic freedom, measured using Economic Freedom Index and economic growth, measured using GDP growthover a 12 years time frame in three countryes. The relationship between the two variables is measured using correlation.The study results suggest the relationship is very weak, witch does not comply to previous research results.
