Abstract

Human rights are legally binding instruments and any mechanisms built around human rights have the benefit of its substantive coherence and legal and normative foundation in international law. Every individual has a legitimate expectation that the state he belongs to will guarantee the right to water. To understand the human rights link to water conservation, one needs to understand the genesis of the Legal framework for Human Right to Water.
