Analysis of the Romanian Insurance Market

Abstract

Insurance sector always had an important place in the Romanian economy and its development. The present paper aims to present the main trends occurred on the insurance market based on the essentials aspects regarding to the gross written premiums, and gross indemnities paid. The data used in the present analysis are based on the statistics according to the annual reports of the Financial Supervisory Authority.
