The dynamics of enrollment at the University of Petroșani over the past decade in the European, national and local context

Abstract

The paper studies the process of students’ enrollment at the University of Petroșani, Romania, over the past decade and places its dynamics within a European, national and local context. On grounds of statistical data, the study aims at detecting the connection between the decreasing number of students at the University of Petroșani and a series of economic, social and political factors.
