Abstract

In the course of his long and fruitful academic and extra-academic career, Francesco Coletti devoted himself to a variety of abstract as well as empirical investigations, focusing on the relations between man, society and environment. More precisely, this paper examines the intellectual path followed by the Marchesian scholar, arguing that it can be significantly illuminated when set against the evolving background of economic and statistical sciences in Italy.
