La Hacienda San Nicolás (Supe) y la Primera Guerra Mundial

Abstract

La Primera Guerra Mundial (19 14-19 18) fue el resultado de la pugna exís- tente entres las principales potencias imperiales de Europa y de América por el control de recursos y mercados. Pero sus consecuencias no se hicieron sentir so- lamente en los países directamente involucrados en el conflicto, sino que se ex- tendieron en el mundo entero. Para la América Latina, en todo caso, laPrimera Guerra Mundial constituye una ruptura significativa en la historia de sus relacio- nes con el mercado internacional y, hasta cierto límite, en el proceso de su or- denamiento interno. Esta ruptura puede ser mejor visualizada a traves de la ex- periencia peruana.
