Abstract

The birth of President Suharto's authoritarian ‘New Order’ regime, between 1965 and 1967, was steeped in blood. Sexual politics played a major role in this process. Nursyahbani Katjasungkana and Saskia E. Wieringa analyse the consequences of this transition for the struggle for women's reproductive rights.
