Desempeño financiero de pequeñas empresas: una experiencia universitaria

Abstract

El Programa de Entrenamiento Gerencial (PEG) de la Universidad del Pacífico, que cumple con la finalidad de crear pequeñas empresas, tiene nueve años. El presente artículo intenta describir y analizar diversos aspectos de la actividad financiera de estas empresas en el lapso de los primeros seis años de existencia del programa (1986-1991). A lo largo del artículo se analizan aspectos de financiación, liquidez y rentabilidad de las empresas creadas, los giros que pueden haber tomado, así como el número de ellas que siguen operando. Finalmente, se proponen algunas recomendaciones que podrían mejorar la evaluación financiera de las empresas del PEG.
