La agro exportación no tradicional en el Perú: el período 1985-1991

Abstract

La nueva estrategia de desarrollo implementada en el Perú desde agosto de 1990, intenta sentar las bases de una economía moderna, competitiva y orientada hacia la exportación. Sin embargo la transición supone costos, por lo que los autores proponen la reactivación inmediata de aquellos sectores en los cuales el país tenga ciertas ventajas en relación a otros; de esta forma se amortiguan los costos de transición y además, aparecen los nuevos "Sectores punta" que van a liderar el patrón de crecimiento exportador. Entre ellos se encuentra la agro exportación no tradicional que, por capacidad potencial, y dadas las características del Perú, está llamada a constituirse en unos de los sectores que lideren el desarrollo.
