The Integration of Regions in Romania: a Case Study of the Regional Development Fund
Abstract
This paper aims to explore the way in witch the objective of making regions visible actors at the European level can be achieved in Romania through the absorption of Structural funds. Firstly, we will highlight the importance of coherent and effective policies for the development of regions. Secondly, we will examine the way in which the actors involved in the implementation of regional development project can promote a proactive and transparent dialogue. Previous studies have shown that a weakness and main risk of such projects is the fact that the continuous collaboration with managing authorities is deficient.
