The Pasinetti and Anti-Pasinetti Theorems: A Reply

Author

Listed:
  • Baranzini, Mauro

Abstract

In this paper, the author assesses the significance and relevance of Miyazaki's and Samuelson's papers concerning the validity of the results of a previous paper of the author's that appeared in the same Review in 1975. In particular, the author confirms the validity of the two solutions (corresponding to the Pasinetti and anti-Pasinetti distribution theorem) reached in his 1975 paper. Additionally the significance of the two solutions is examined again (and independently of the well-behaved production function) and they are studied with reference to the share of the capital stock of the two classes in the total capital stock of the system.
