Abstract

Many organizations who deal with a variety of projects have the problem to compare the efficiency and eff ectiveness of all the projects in the organization and to learn from this experience. The PEM (Project Excellence Model) from IPMA (International Project Management Association) is an open, very fl exible model for assessing different projects. It is used by IPMA each year to finthe best project of the year. This model is being adopted for the Croatian PM Award. The model itself and the project for implementing it in Croatia are described as well as the benefits from this kind of benchmarking projects for the project teams as well as for the other involved parties.
