Abstract

“Lumea şi viaţa”, în sensul lor larg, sunt formate din “oameni care sfinţesc locuri” şi din “lucruri făcute la timpul lor”. Iar “economia ştiinţei” nu face excepţie. Istoria “adevărată” nu depinde doar de accesul la arhive şi săpături în situri arheologice, ci şi de limpezimea minţii cu care ştergem praful de pe ele. Deşi trecută, istoria lumii se rescrie în fiecare secundă în care ne înnoim stocul de relicve sau recitim ceva mai clar vechiul. Privite şi mai apăsat prin ochii speciei umane, litosfera, hidrosfera, atmosfera şi biosfera nu sunt altceva decât stocuri şi fluxuri de resurse la dispoziţia “antroposferei”, învelişul (pretins) inteligent al planetei care prin acţiunile sale le poate exploata înţelept sau şi le poate întoarce împotrivă. Uniunea Europeană este constructul politico-economic poate cel mai vivace istoric şi versatil geografic; unul care îşi a-/de-/re-clamă cu pasiune sustenabilitatea.
