Le « Leadership » et le « gouvernement » dans l'analyse des organisations universitaires : Deux notions à déconstruire

Abstract

Cet article propose une lecture critique de la littérature anglosaxone sur le leadership et le gouvernement des organisations universitaires produite depuis les années 1960. Cette critique prend appui sur un travail empirique conséquent sur les modes de fonctionnement et de gouvernement des universités françaises. L’auteur veut démontrer que la question du leadership dans les universités a été abordée de manière trop personnalisée, trop désincarnée ou trop normative, et que le gouvernement des universités a été analysé de façon trop morcelée. Elle propose l’alternative d’une nouvelle définition du gouvernement de l’université, capable d’en saisir toutes les dimensions : les relations de conflits-coopération entre les différents leaders, les relations d’interdépendance des différents organes collectifs impliqués dans les processus de décision, et enfin les relations entre les leaders et les instances représentatives.
