Les universités européennes et l'entrepreneuriat : Leur rôle dans l'Europe du savoir

Abstract

Ce document analyse les fondements théoriques du concept d’entrepreneuriat dans les universités et la contribution qu’il peut apporter à la société du savoir. Il envisage ce concept en tant que phénomène économique et établit une distinction entre son emploi dans l’économie et dans l’enseignement supérieur. Dans l’enseignement supérieur, la mise en œuvre de cette notion peut être contestée car, dans certaines circonstances, elle peut être destructrice des valeurs universitaires. Elle peut en revanche renforcer l’autonomie institutionnelle et stimuler la recherche et l’innovation. L’entrepreneuriat rencontre des obstacles au niveau national et institutionnel et suppose une prise de risque importante. Deux aspects particuliers sont abordés : la notion d’intrapreneur universitaire et les liens entre le rôle régional accru des universités et la nature des universités entrepreneuriales.
