Abstract

Dans la plupart des pays, le suivi des droits de l’homme se fonde essentiellement sur les cas individuels signalés par les victimes ou les ONG aux institutions de défense de ces droits ou aux tribunaux, ainsi que sur des décisions de justice. Comme indiqué dans le Chapitre 1, ce type de suivi est sans doute très utile pour la défense de cas isolés, mais il ne permet pas de fournir des informations sur l’ampleur ni les tendances des formes spécifiques de violation des droits de l’homme.
