Good Practices and Tendencies in the Activities of Banks in the European Union

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the trends, prob­lems, good practices and tendencies of bank activities in the European Union. The major trends and issues arising in the activities of banks have been enumerated. Recommen­dations have been given for overcoming the problems. The state of the Bulgarian banking system has been presented in regard to the analyzed trends. Some amendments to norma­tive documents regulating the functioning of banks in the European Union member states have been enumerated.
