Design of a Composite Indicator for Measuring and Assessment of Employment and Unemployment Trends and Dynamics

Abstract

The present article deals with the problems related to measuring and assessment of employment and unemployment dynamics. A composite indicator is designed with the purpose of identifying the overall level of performance with respect to a universe of pre-selected labour market indicators for a given country, object of study.
