Abstract

The relationship between the cyclical development of the economy of Ukraine and the volume of tourist services consumption has been studied. At present, the global economy leads to the cyclical recurrence of a certain sequence of steps in the national economies because of their close mutual penetration in various sectors. The sphere of tourism production and consumption requires the participation of many other industries, so it is more dependent on regional crises and can serve an indicator of the state of a national economy. In the current geopolitical confrontation the role of Ukraine's economy in the European macroregion has intensified, and has indirectly led to the reorientation of the mass tourist flows and changes in the consumption of the tourist services paradigm in the leading countries of this sector, which, in turn, forced the host countries to reconsider the strategy of the tourism industry development in the coming years. As a result of the study, the factors and conditions have been identified, the totality of which is able to affect global changes in individual sectoral markets and the peculiarities of the transition of the world tourism industry to a new formational phase as a result of the synergistic effect of combining several instruments of influence, the functioning of which was observed in the past, however, reached a decisive influence just in the period of coincidence of the cyclic phases.
