Bankruptcy of regional enterprises: social and economic consequences

Abstract

The key negative and positive social, economic, financial or organizational consequences for the regional development from the application of bankruptcy procedures of enterprises are considered. The influence of the number of bankruptcies on wage arrears and unemployment in the region allowed the authors to elicit shortages in the functioning of the institution of bankruptcy in the Republic of Kazakhstan and to single out the rehabilitation procedure as the preferred one for both the regional and national economies.
