Unternehmenshandeln gegen Betriebsratsgründungen - Der Fall Schlecker

Abstract

Der Artikel befasst sich am Beispiel des Drogeriediscounters Schlecker mit Unternehmenshandeln gegen Betriebsratsgründungen. Schlecker ist ein Beispiel dafür, dass mit dem Aufstieg der Discounter im Einzelhandel Union-Busting zunehmend zum Normalfall wird. Allerdings unterscheidet sich Schlecker von den anderen Discountern durch eine erfolgreiche Kampagne der Gewerkschaften 1994/95, infolge derer es zu 112 Betriebsratsgründungen kam. Die Kampagne ist ein frühes Beispiel für neue Organisierungsstrategien in den deutschen Gewerkschaften. Sie war der Türöffner, allerdings kein Garant für einen dauerhaften Erfolg. Dies liegt auch daran, dass die Unternehmensleitung trotz des Abschlusses eines Tarifvertrags ihren Widerstand nicht aufgab. Im Gegenteil: Nachdem 2002 vcr.di und der Gesamtbetriebsrat verstärkt die Organisierung der "weißen Flecken" im Unternehmen in Angriff nahmen, reagiert auch die Unternehmensleitung wieder mit einer verstärkten Gegenwehr. Der Artikel, der auf einer empirischen Studie zur Analyse und Typologisierung des Unternehmenshandelns Schleckers basiert, schildert die Vorgehensweisen des Unternehmens gegen die Etablierung von Betriebsräten.
