Analyse und Würdigung der Aussagekraft ausgewählter Kennzahlen auf Online-Finanzportalen

Abstract

Online Financial Portals disclose for identical stock funds in the same time period different key figures. This article points out, that the difference exceeds for some figures over 25%. The differences can be explained by the calculation of the returns, the annualization, the benchmarks and the risk free rate. The main problem for the users of these financial portals is that the calculation is in parts inconsistent and there is no chance to see how the portals calculate their figures. To raise the value of information from these financial portals for the users, the inconsistences should be eliminated and the calculation should be transparent. If the financial portals follow those suggestions the information value for the users could increase.
