Abstract

This study aims to promote sustainability in asset management in Germany, with a particular focus on shareholder engagement. By means of qualitative and quantitative surveys, the study first examines the current status of sustainable asset management and how this status quo is assessed. This paper closes with recommendations for asset managers, issuers, and policy makers. By implementing them, sustainability in the asset management can be improved.
