Abstract

The development of the agricultural business in the traditional Georgian villages is not connected with significant losses and costs thus it allows the supply of cheap agricultural production. The comparatively low prices of the products makes them affordable for the tourists coming from Central and Eastern European countries. If one takes into account the fact that some 47.3 % of the overall Georgian population lives in the villages, it becomes obvious that the effective use of these cheap and well aware of the rural life human resources for the needs of the tourism industry may open a significant potential for development of the agricultural business in regards to the use of the rural tourism.
