Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study the specific characteristics of information technologies introduced to business tourism. Analysis is focused on the latest applications. Business tourism is concerned with people travelling for purposes which are related to their work and that determines the ongoing process of inventing new communication channels and internet access points. Special focus is placed on networking before and after business events and coferences. The twofold significance of the technological renovation for the purposes of business tourism is quite clearly indicated – the pros and cons of virtual conferencing and face-to-face business events.
