Abstract

Within the context of some current debates on management education in Canada, this paper discusses corporate social responsibility and innovation as follows: why there is a new urgency for these concepts to be taught; how this material is traditionally taught; and, how it might be taught in the future. Finally in each instance reference made to two leading Canadian multinational companies. Data, albeit limited, suggest that some leading Canadian companies readily embrace corporate social responsibility and innovation. Such practice is leading and business schools need to catch up.
