Abstract

The so called “social entrepreneurship” is becoming more and more important part of the global economy, creating many job openings and opportunities for people working the sector as well as for the communities and regions where it is developed. It is in the last twenty years that this subject has enter the center of attention of the scientific community creating big debate around its core and how it can be studied properly. The aim of the work is to dwell in the latest tendencies in the scientific community to study the problems and why its definition is still a matter of debate. The article is to be used as a starting point for the creation of theoretical framework, which can later be used for scientific research purposes.
