Abstract

The family business in Bulgaria occupies a considerable place among companies that operate in all sectors of the economy. It contributes significantly the economic development of different regions in the country and collaborates reducing the unemployment and creating jobs, as well as providing flexibility of the market. What is typical for the family business is that it boasts high responsibility towards the outcome. Not only the product or service quality is particularly important for the family business but also is the companies’ reputation among the customers. In this sense, the proper and effective management of innovation activity is essential and significant. In this regard, the objective of this article is to analyze the innovation of the family enterprises from the South-west planning area.
