Systems of quality and agricultural trajectories: a spatial approach of disparities and convergences in France, Italy and Spain

Abstract

Cet article porte sur les conditions d’émergence de la qualité agroalimentaire dans les territoires ruraux ouest européens, en confrontant les trajectoires des espaces agricoles avec leur capacité à développer des systèmes de qualification des produits. Une méthodologie originale croisant des typologies agricoles et de qualité à l’échelle de 200 entités rurales de trois pays (France, Italie et Espagne) est mobilisée. Les résultats montrent des corrélations entre les deux, même si les cas de figure restent complexes. La rapidité des mutations, ainsi que les faits régionaux et nationaux sont aussi mis en avant. Au final, ce travail permet de renouveler le regard sur la qualité en proposant une analyse généralisée et spatialisée au niveau international.
