Abstract

En este número de Contaduría y Administración, Homero Zambrano nos presenta su artículo Minimización del tracking error con solución analítica para portafolios indizados, en el cual el autor se ocupa de desarrollar una solución analítica para una de las herramientas ocupadas en la administración de fondos indizados de activos financieros. Además de proporcionar dicha solución, Zambrano demuestra que si bien la minimización del error de seguimiento de un índice de referencia es relativamente fácil de lograr mediante el uso de métodos numéricos, la solución de forma cerrada requiere de más tiempo de uso de la computadora para su cálculo. La aportación de este trabajo es importante para los administradores de fondos de inversión que tienen que lidiar con portafolios que contienen un gran número de activos.
