Abstract

This paper analyses the state of health of the Mezzogiorno labour market, also taking into account the first effects of the Covid-19 pandemic through the recent 2020 ISTAT data. Based on a descriptive analysis that includes the appraisal of territorial Beveridge curves, the main current criticalities of such labour market are highlighted. The patterns of these criticalities are then investigated at the provincial level also within the Mezzogiorno, pinpointing some significant correlations with the productive system of the provinces.
