Guanajuato y la educación en el siglo XXI. Un análisis desde la perspectiva de la crisis por COVID-19

Abstract

En este documento se analizan las consecuencias dela crisis por COVID-19 en la educación del siglo XXI y, específicamente, en el contexto educativo de Guanajuato y México. Se encuentra que la educación del siglo XXI exige que los estudiantes, trabajadores y empresarios no solamente se eduquen y certifiquen por el modelo por competencias, sino que el aprendizaje digital es una de las características del modelo educativo actual. También se demuestra que esta crisis exacerbó desigualdades sociales existentes entre las zonas rurales y urbanas y los estratos bajos y altos, y que representa grandes retos en la educación, principalmente derivados de la brecha digital y del rezago educativo. En Guanajuato urgen políticas económicas y sociales que incentiven y propicien la adaptación del modelo educativo hacia los nuevos requerimientos, contribuyendo con ello a que el crecimiento económico de esta región se refleje en el desarrollo y bienestar social de sus habitantes.
