Abstract

La destrucción de la síntesis aristotélica, esa artificial coherencia de todos los conocimientos relativos a la física y a la astronomía vigentes durante el medioevo, será la labor con la que el renacimiento proyecta su espíritu en los nuevos tiempos y posibilita los profundos cambios en las concepciones acerca de la ciencia y de la filosofía que permite caracterizar el siglo XVII. La incorporación de nuevas regiones al mundo conocido,como resultado de los descubrimientos geográficos recientes, puede extrapolarse de manera bien sugestiva para explicar la instauración de nuevos espacios ideológicos, filosóficos y discursivos. Será precisamente en tales espacios donde se manifiesta la originalidad de la propuesta filosófica de Descartes, en la que se busca un nuevo comienzo - la subjetividad y se consigue un resultado inesperado,la exaltación de la razón
