Economic Strategy of the Development of Renewable Energy in Rural Areas of Ukraine

Abstract

Managing the development of renewable energy in rural areas is a national level priority in the context of the European course of Ukraine. Against this backdrop, rural territories serve as a platform for the formation and implementation of a strategy for the active implementation and use of renewable energy. The purpose of the study is to justify the strategic benchmarks concerning managing the development of renewable energy in rural areas as a determining factor in the sustainable energy supply of domestic production. The object of the study is renewable energy in rural areas. The subject of research is the process of developing renewable energy. The scientific hypothesis of the research is the assumption that increasing the consumption of renewable energy sources will contribute to the sustainable development of rural areas. The results of monitoring the nature and peculiarities of renewable energy sources consumption over the past 10 years enabled to carry out a strategic forecast of the change in the share of renewable energy in the overall structure of energy consumption of Ukraine.
