Türkiye’deki Afgan Sığınmacılar ve Medya Temsilleri Bağlamında Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Türkiye’de zorunlu göç ve entegrasyona ilişkin alanyazında genel olarak daha az görünür olan Afgan sığınmacılar üzerine odaklanmıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Afgan sığınmacıların medya temsillerini ve Afgan sığınmacıların bu temsiller hakkındaki görüşlerini irdelemektir. Nitel bir araştırma olarak desenlenen bu çalışmada veriler, gazete haberlerinin incelenmesi ve Afgan sığınmacılarla yapılan görüşmelerle elde edilmiştir. Amaçlı örneklem yoluyla belirlenen haberler, eleştirel söylem analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmanın saha boyutunda Konya ilinde yaşayan 28 Afgan sığınmacı ile derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular çalışma grubundaki gazetelerde son yıllarda Afgan sığınmacılara ilişkin haberlerin sayılarında artış olduğunu göstermiştir. Bulgulara göre Afgan sığınmacılar haberlerde genel olarak olumsuz nitelikte temsil edilmektedir. Katılımcıların medyada temsillerine ilişkin görüşleri ise genellikle haberleri takip edip etmeme durumuna göre şekillenmektedir. Katılımcıların medyayı takip etmemelerinin temel nedenleri olarak dil yoksunluğu ve psikolojik olarak etkilenme ifade edilmiştir.
