Gaziantep ve İzmir’deki Suriyelilerin Yaşadıkları Dışlanma Deneyimleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Türkiye’de yaşayan Suriyelilerin kentsel alanda yaşadıkları dışlanma deneyimlerine odaklanmak-tadır. Bu amaçla Suriyelilerin ekonomik, mekânsal ve kültürel açıdan ne tür dışlanma örnekleriyle karşılaştıkları üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca bu araştırmada dışlanmanın dinamikleri ve katılımcıların dışlanmaya ne gibi cevaplar verdikleri ele alınmıştır. Bu araştırma Gaziantep ve İzmir kent merkezlerinde nitel bir yöntemle yapılmıştır. Gaziantep’te 30 kişi, İzmir’de 27 kişi olmak üzere toplam 57 Suriyeli ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ile Gaziantep’te iki ve İzmir’de bir olmak üzere toplam üç odak grup görüşmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinden hareketle hem Gaziantep’te hem de İzmir’de Suriyelilerin kentsel yaşamın hemen hemen her alanında dışlanma ile karşılaştıkları ve bu dışlanmayı en aza indirmek için birtakım baş etme yöntemlerine başvurdukları tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, bir dışlanma türünün diğer bir dışlanma türüyle iç içe geçebildiği, araştırmadan elde edilen bir diğer sonuç olmuştur. Bu araştırma, özellikle sürdürülebilir bir entegrasyon politikası için mevcut engellerin ortaya konulması açısından literatürdeki tartışmalara katkı yapmayı amaçlamaktadır.
