On Local Protectionism in China's Market Development
AbstractThis article addresses three issues: (1) why local protectionism was a policy abandoned by capitalist countries in their process of industrialization; (2) analysis of the long-term existence of local protectionism in China's market development; and (3) the harm done by local protectionism and suggested countermeasures.
