Abstract

The process by which China's externally oriented development strategy was born and developed was powerfully pushed forward and completed by the theory of the "great international cycle." At present, it is precisely the form in which the coastal development strategy is being implemented. This marks a new era of China's opening to the world. Below, I would like to contribute some ideas on the strategic options available to China in developing an externally oriented economy.
