Abstract

We aim to make a literature review in benefit of those who are interested in supervision topic and of the way supervision is seen by professionals and researchers. In these respect we are trying to open new ways for professional practice. The paper is presenting a short history of supervision both in international area and in national one too. We present few definition of supervision, types and principles of supervision, methods and techniques in supervision practice such as appreciative inquiry and appreciative supervision, Video Interaction Training, etc. We also made a review of legislative framework in which supervision is practiced in Romania.
